2004 Cabernet Franc
$14.00
Light Body Wine
CBC Radio One’s Wine Critic Konrad Ejbich’s “Pick of the Month” August 2006
Bronze Medal at 2007 All Canadian Wine Championships
This wine is a fresh and earthy unoaked Cabernet Franc from our 2004 vintage. This wine reveals plenty of blackcurrant and fruit intermingled with herb-tinged flavours. The wine is a light-bodied wine, with surprisingly intense concentration of fruit, complexity and depth. Can be served alone, with appetizers or with light meats such as pork tenderloin.
12.3% alc./vol. Total production: 255 cases.
2005 – Maréchal Foch
$16.00
Medium Bodied Red Wine
This wine is a smooth medium to heavy body wine with dark berry characteristics. Smoke and vanilla characteristics define the nose while traits of bacon, leather and dark berries are predominate on the palate. It is a more recent variety developed in Alsace, France and named after French WW1 hero, Maréchal Ferdinand Foch (pronounced “Foesh”). Ours was hand-harvested in September, 2005 and barrel-aged eight months in French oak barrels. Pairs well with pasta, veal, lamb and roasted meats.
